Needs

*NEEDS ARE LISTED CHRONOLOGICALLY*

  1. Rebuilding the Walls – help us restore vacant, dilapidated homes.  Give financially towards this effort and/or come down and help us do it! CLICK HERE for more info.
  2. Lawn help – We are good for now.
  3. Food pantry volunteer – come for an hour (or more) on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday anytime between 8:30-1:00 to help organize and prepare food boxes to distribute to our neighbors that come for assistance with food.
  4. Prayer room volunteer – come on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at 10:15am and serve by meeting with those who come for all forms of assistance by sitting down with them, filling out paperwork, and praying with them.  Typically done by 12:15-12:30.
  5. Rock Island/youth volunteer – we are currently looking for some full and/or part time help with our after-school and summer programs.  We are in need of a ‘go-to’ person to be on site full time during operational hours.  If you have any interest in helping organize or serve in any way please contact us!
  6. As a 501(c)(3) we are in constant need of financial support.  Each of our full-time staff members are responsible for raising their own support.  In addition to individual fundraising of staff members we have special efforts and ongoing ministry efforts (such as the Whittier school building & Rebuilding the Walls) that require additional funds in order for us to move forward as we do our best to develop resources we believe are helpful & necessary for our community.

If you would like to offer support, you can do so by way of check or HERE through PayPal – (you don’t have to have a PayPal account to give through PayPal.  You can use a credit or debit card.)

If you prefer to write a check, please, make a check payable to “Cross and Crown Mission” and write either “Operations” in the memo portion or designate the staff member’s name of your choice in the memo portion. Mail it to the following address:

  1. If you will call us at 232-7696 and contact the medical clinic they can give you any and all information you will need. Thanks for your interest.

  2. Margaret,

We would love to have you help out. Please come on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning at 10am so that we can integrate you into our daily ministry functions. A typical volunteer day lasts from 10am-1pm.

    1. Absolutely. We would just need a primarily contact for the group. You are welcome to email us at crossandcrownmission@gmail to get started.

  3. I’m trying to find out what is required to receive assistance from your food pantry (I.e. I.D., proof of residence, social security cards, etc.). I was able to find the address and the days you’re available (1008 N. McKinley; M-W 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Is this correct?) My family and I could really use some assistance receiving food and if possible utility assistance. There’s a total of 5 of us and as of right now my fiance is the only one who is able to work as I am going through the process of possibly getting my social security disability approved. Thank you for your time. Have a great day and may God bless you

    1. Hi, Crystal. All you need is identification for each person you claim in your home. Sorry but we don’t not have the ability to help with utilities. We look forward to meeting you!

  4. I need help. I have some stuff that I need help with medically and I have tried to call and make an appointment and the number isn’t even working.. What do I need to do to make an appointment?

    1. Hi, Ashley. Not sure what number you tried but if you haven’t already give (405) 664-3492 a call. If that doesn’t work let me know and we can try another way.
